Good varied menu. Delicious food. I don't have the expertise to say how authentic it is, but the soup, pasta and lasagna all were different from our North American usual.
Staff were very pleasant and patient helping two young children find something they would like, and it was all a big hit.
After the heat of walking the Colosseum, it was nice to sit in a cool covered patio, enjoying the air but sheltered from the heat.
Highly recommended. -

Tonight it was time for some real Italian pizza and beer and other goodies. The pasta is really good and there is lots to pick from. The employees are patient and will explain the dishes to you. The beer is good and comes in a big mug. I would come back again if I was in the area again. I liked this place.

Lovely place right by the Colosseum! They had a cute outdoor area where we sat, and an extensive menu. The food was tasty- the noodles were thicker and flavorful. The prices were also not too bad, which was a relief. The cosmos were surprisingly good as well- would recommend!

If you're looking for a cafe with food & beverages at decent prices near the Colosseum, I recommend this place! Usually restaurants & other businesses are tourist traps that are located near historical places, whereas their quality isn't as good because they don't need to be in order to attract customers. My friend did run into a local cafe near the Colosseum that wasn't good, and they were overpriced too. We were lucky to find Angelino ai Fori, as they were a good place to grab a snack.
The day of our tour, we had a break from the Colosseum & the Roman Forum. I used Yelp to try and find a good local cafe during our break, and we found this one! Their prices were fair and the quality of their food & beverages was pretty good; although they are Cash Only. They also have a very nice & clean bathroom too.
Overall I would give them 3.5-stars for the quality of their food & beverage, and 4-stars for their ambiance & prices. The next time I visit the Colosseum, I will definitely make another visit to Angelino ai Fori again.
